April Kim, LPC, LAC

Clinic Director

April is a dually licensed clinician who brings warmth, authenticity, and a deeply relational approach to her work. April helps clients move toward the lives they want to live by exploring their values, strengthening psychological flexibility, and cultivating self-compassion.

With extensive experience supporting diverse populations, April is especially passionate about working with individuals navigating motherhood, trauma, or involvement in the justice system. She integrates a range of evidence-based approaches—including ACT, CBT, DBT, SFBT, and MI —but always tailors her work to the person in front of her.

April is also trained in the research and curriculum of Dr. Brené Brown, Ph.D., LMSW, and incorporates this work to help clients build shame resilience and foster greater connection, courage, and authenticity.

April believes therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical or cold. She strives to create a space that feels human—rooted in kindness, curiosity, and just the right amount of levity.
